After a small upwind, the curve again shows downwards
After the Schalke with five defeats in a row, the start of the season did not have any defeat. Königsblau climbed from rank 18 to high to eighth place, before two bitter home games destroyed the long-term ambitions to the Champions League. Markus Weinzierl’s team lost their first match against Bayer Leverkusen in an almost 90-minute game, despite some excellent chances with a 1-1 draw against Bayer Leverkusen before scoring last season against SC Freiburg 1: 1. Now it goes to the HSV, which after four games in series without defeat against the FSV Mainz 05 now also missed a damper. The simultaneous victory of Ingolstadt in Leverkusen has meant that the dinosaurs of the Bundesliga have now fallen back to 17th place and thus stands on a direct descent place for the Hanseatic League, where it also bubbling outside the square.
A position that would be reluctant to maintain another full month until the end of January. Against actually strong Gelsenkirchener, who have always shown in the convincing performances in the Europa League, how much potential is actually in their squad, it is now very difficult for the North Germans. Because Schalke, however, hardly has any alternatives with the persistent injury miseries, we still trust the Hamburgers a point gain. Most likely, we seem to be a draw.
