Alaves – Levante : Preview & Prediction
Duel at the bottom of the ranking between Alavés, 17th and Levante, 19th.
After a catastrophic start in the league (five consecutive defeats), Alavés has found color in recent matches with two consecutive victories and a draw in the last three meetings. Javi Calleja’s men even scored a victory against Atlético at the end of September, synonymous with their first league victory. Alavés will be able to count on Joselu, the club’s top scorer, to undermine a sinking defense.
In front of them is the only team that has yet to win a game in La Liga, Levante. Worst defense in the league with twenty-three goals conceded, “Los Granotas” alternate between a draw and a defeat and have just lost 3-0 at home to Granada. They are also capable of snagging Atlético Madrid with a 2-2 draw before losing 5-3 to Sevilla. Javier Pereira’s side are too irregular at the moment to hope for this long-awaited first success.

Alavés is in much better shape than his opponent and logically favorite for this match. But beware of meetings at the bottom of the table which always offer some surprises. Levante is capable of winning their first game of the season but will need to be stronger defensively.
