Albania – Iceland : Preview & Prediction
Three teams at the top of the league table with twelve points each, if this is not a balance this is … France, Turkey and Iceland (in strict order of ranking) are best playing their Euro 2020 qualifying chance. Obviously the difference will make it definitively the direct confrontations, but it is very important not to stumble in the other “outline” competitions in order not to compromise what has been done so far. And in the next round there will be only these high-risk games, at least for Turkey and Iceland, because France has a decidedly favorable turn (and absolutely to be exploited).
The reigning World Champions, in fact, face Andorra, the rear of the group, at home and have the opportunity to stretch.
Turkey and (above all) Iceland have an insidious trip to deal with in Moldova (three points) and Albania (six points) respectively.
Icelandhas so far won them all (including the first leg, 2-1 the final result), except the one against France away (4-0).
Albania, on the other hand, won only with Moldovia at home and against Andorra on the road, losing then to France, Iceland and Turkey.
Too important and delicate the trip to Albania for Iceland to think about voltage drops. Guests must absolutely win …
The hosts, then, come from the large defeat in France (4-1), while Iceland has regulated Moldavia at home (3-0). The motivations could (and should) make the difference: let’s trust the guests, while being careful with a double chance, and let’s play X2.
