This is Matchday 4 of the Champions League group stage. In Group B, Arsenal take on Sevilla FC. It will be played at the Emirates Stadium, this Wednesday at 9pm. The Gunners are currently top of their group, with 2 wins from 3 matches. They will be keen to consolidate their place in the top 2 after this latest European encounter. Mikel Arteta’s men will have plenty to do against Sevilla FC. The latter are in 3rd place in this group. The Andalusian club has yet to record a win since the start of this C1.
Arsenal are going through a rather complicated period. First of all, they were knocked out of the Carabao Cup after losing 3-1 to West Ham. The Gunners followed this up with a defeat to Newcastle United in the Premier League (1-0). Their 1st league defeat of the season! However, they remain in 4th place in the table. In the Champions League, Mikel Arteta’s team remain equally convincing. Admittedly, they lost at Lens (2-1). However, the English team beat PSV Eindhoven (4-0) and Sevilla FC (1-2). All the more reason to top Group B. Arsenal will be looking to continue their winning ways when they take on Sevilla FC. The latter are in 3rd place in this Champions League group. They have taken just 2 points from 3 matches. The Andalusian club are also only in 15th place in La Liga, 4 points clear of the red zone. Diego Alonso’s men could only manage a 1-1 draw at Celta Vigo last weekend. They will certainly have an even harder time of it in London!
