Arsenal had a complicated season last year, finishing 8th in the Premier League and a Europa League elimination against Olympiacos. Fortunately, the Gunners won the cup against their London rivals Chelsea and will therefore compete in the Europa League this season. Season that starts off wonderfully, with a victory in the Community Shield against Liverpool and a second (0-3 to Fulham) for the opening of the championship.
West Ham had a very sad season last year and even struggled to hold it until the end, eventually finishing 16th with 5 points ahead of relegated first Bournemouth. With a squad of this quality, the Hammers owe it to themselves to do much better, and even to finish in the first half of the table. They got off to a very poor start to the league again with a 2-0 loss to Newcastle.
