Auxerre wants to leave the red zone. Brest defends his leadership chair. No benefit in terms of motivation
Beaten by Orléans in the game of fear last Saturday (0-2), Auxerre remobilized to get a good victory at Sochaux this week (0-1). 19th in the standings, Lionel Mathis’s teammates have just won 2 of their last 3 meetings in Ligue 2 and are only 2 lags behind the 1st non-relegation, Orléans.
After two consecutive wins in Ligue 2, first in Valenciennes (0-1), then against Sochaux last weekend (2-0), Brest finally conceded the point of the draw in Clermont this Wednesday (1-1 ). Despite this little hitch in Auvergne, the players of Jean-Marc Furlan are still leader of the classification, with another 6 lengths ahead of the 2nd, Troyes.
