A 2-1 defeat to Darmstadt saw Borussia Mönchengladbach knocked out of the DFB-Pokal by a team from a lower division for the second time in as many seasons, meaning the home side must quickly focus on getting back to Bundesliga business to continue their bid to qualify for European competition.
