D.R. CONGO – MOROCCO PREDICTION (16.01.2017)

As part of the Africa Cup of Nations, on Monday, the first day of group C will be on the agenda. This group around Morocco, Togo, Congo and the Ivory Coast has it all. Who can reach the knockout round? In order to get under the first two, an initial victory would be of the utmost importance. The Côte d’Ivoire is the clear favorite against Togo, and Morocco are the least favorite against Congo. In this article we looked at the evening game between Morocco and Congo.

The Democratic Republic of the Congo has already won the Africa Cup twice, but in 1974. Congo is by no means one of the favorites in the tournament. Even the move into the quarterfinals would be a big surprise, because before the tournament came the premiere with the association, which even went so far that the team boycotted the last training units. As a result, captain Medhi Benatia of Juventus is the star of the team, but also the likes of Omar El Kaddouri, Karim El Ahmadi, Youssef El Arabi and Lekhwiya Sports. Morocco played two friendships before the Africa Cup. Against Burkina Faso, the team won on 1-0 by the hit of Bencharki on 4 January. There was a 0-1 defeat against Finland on 9 January. It was the first defeat since 20 January 2016, when they lost 0-1 against the Ivory Coast. Since then there have been nine wins and four draws. This is how Morocco proved a certain quality within the framework of African football, which makes it a favorite for us in this game.
