Denmark – France : Preview & Prediction
This is the last day of the Nations League! Les Bleus were able to leave their position as the bottom of Group 1 of the A division. However, France is not yet guaranteed to stay in the competition. They are only one point ahead of Austria, who will face Croatia. For their part, Didier Deschamps’ team will travel to Denmark on Sunday at 8.45pm at the Parken Stadium in Copenhagen. A match that will not be easy for the French team! Their opponent of the evening is in second place in the group and still in the race to play the Final Four.
Denmark seemed to be well on their way to the Final Four of the Nations League. They had won three of their first four games and were top of their group before travelling to Croatia last Thursday. However, the Danish team lost their final match 2-1 and left the Croatians in first place. They are now one point behind the leaders. France, on the other hand, quickly lost hope of finishing top of the group. They have only taken two points in four games. However, they were able to get back on track in midweek, easily beating Austria (2-0). They are now in third place in the group!
It is with a very good team that Denmark will present itself for this final game of the Nations League. They will be able to count on their star player: Christian Eriksen. The Danish attacking midfielder has just scored a superb goal during the last trip to Croatia. As for France, they will have to make do with many absentees. Lucas Hernandez, Karim Benzema, Theo Hernandez, Hugo Lloris, Presnel Kimpembe and Lucas Digne were not able to take part in this gathering. And during the last match against Austria, Mike Maignan and Jules Koundé were also injured. They will not be available this Sunday.
