Djurgarden – CFR Cluj : Preview & Prediction
Released by Dinamo Zagreb in the preliminary rounds of the Champions League (TAB), Romanian club CFR Cluj will travel to Sweden this Thursday, to face Djurgarden in the third qualifying round of the Europa League. Reigning Romanian champions, Frenchmen Billel Omrani (ex-OM) and Michaël Pereira (ex-Mallorca) will logically be favorites in qualifying, against Swedes not really used to playing in the European Cup in recent seasons. Currently fifth in the home league, the Bergstrand men have effectively only taken part in two (short) European campaigns since 2008, including this year. An opponent not really used to European games cut for Cluj therefore, who will try to play his football on the lawn of the Tele2 Arena.
Cluj is much more used to Europe than Djurgarden.
In the CLA prelims, Cluj was taken out by Dinamo Zagreb at TAB.
In the first qualifying round of LDC, Djurgarden was sharply eliminated by Ferencvaros (2-0).
Cluj have won their last 5 trips. For an invincibility that has lasted for 12 trips.
Djurgarden have won only one of their last 6 games. Not the best dynamic to approach the C3.
On the lawn of an opponent who is not a cador of the Old Continent, CFR Cluj has all the cards in hand to win and see the play-offs of this Europa League. With the prospect of facing an affordable team to see the hens of the competition (KuPS or Suduva), the Romanians will not give up on Thursday. Success from Cluj, offered at a good odds by Pokerstars Sports.
