Cologne had a rather difficult season last year, finishing 16th in the Bundesliga. As a result, the club had to play play-offs for maintenance, and even lost in the first leg against Holstein Kiel before waking up and crushing them in the return 1-5. Cologne therefore held on and got off to a better start to the new season, with a great victory against Hertha Berlin and then a narrow loss in a very good game against Bayern Munich.
After a very good season last year, the Bochum club finished second division champions and thus validated their direct rise to the elite. The club started this new season quite well, with a narrow defeat at Wolfsburg and then a victory when receiving Mainz, a direct competitor for maintenance.

Cologne won its first two matches of the season (1-1 then victory in the tabs against Jena in the first round of the German Cup, then 3-1 against Hertha Berlin in the Bundesliga) before losing to Bayern (3- 2).

Bochum won in their first game (1-2 against Wuppertaler SV in the German Cup first round), before losing 1-0 to Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga and taking all three points against Mainz (2-0).
Cologne showed a lot of envy but also talent against Bayern Munich and Hertha Berlin, and the club could well have a better season than last year. For that, we will have to take points quickly and not lose at home against a direct competitor. As is often the case with Cologne, there should also be goals. Victory or draw for Cologne and over 1.5!
