FCSB – Sporting: Preview & Prediction
Steaua the Romanians are the best team in their league although they failed the title the previous season. This year they probably have the best cast and are the top favorites to win.
In this Champions League tie, it should be said that the Romanians entered the previous round and eliminated Viktoria Plzen.
After a 2-2 draw at home, the Czech Republic were then beaten 4-1 in a totally unexpected result and the Romanian counterattacks proved to be very poisonous and fatal on the undercard.
But at home they felt a lot of difficulties and it was even the Portuguese Felipe Teixeira who gave the goal of equality in a game in which they had to lose twice.
In Alvalade they achieved a significant tie to zero in a result that despite everything ends up adjusting. Steaua even had 2 good goal chances and knew how to defend if well. Romanian midfielder Pintilii was sent off in the final minutes in Alvalade and missed this meeting.
Sporting this year have the clear ambition to enter the group stage of the Champions League and improve the European performance in order to regain some prestige, because despite good performances in the group stage last year,

Prognosis: Although Sporting have disappointed with a draw at home with Steaua, the truth is that nothing is lost or more or less. I am fully convinced that Sporting will score goals in Romania and quite possibly win the same in their stadium.
Steaua are within reach of Sporting who ended up having an unfortunate and less successful game in Lisbon. In Romania I do not expect a Steaua so closed in defensive terms and without its usual latch, they will still be able to feel more difficulties in this game.
Sporting have extremes of great quality, Bas Dost returned to goals and Bruno Fernandes to play in the back should be important.
The Romanians already against the Czechs felt many difficulties at home and now at the reception to Sporting, I do not believe they get anything positive and I see Sporting win in Romania scoring more than 1 goal and so move to the Group stage.
