FENERBAHCE – VARDAR PREDICTION (24.08.2017)

Fenerbahce vs Vardar: Preview & Prediction

Fenerbahce are a team with good experience in European competitions, sometimes marking their presence in the Champions League and now playing in the Europa League.

In recent years they have played more the Europa League because they have failed the Turkish title and also in the Play Offs of the Champions. This year’s entry into the Europa League group stage is clearly at risk after having lost 2-0 away in Vardar.

They are favorites to win this game, but the tie will be tricky to turn around, although possible because they actually have more quality than the Macedonian champion.

Fenerbahce this year bet on the signings of Valbuena and Soldado to give a new color to this squad that still has Robin Van Persie, Souza or Skrtel. In the league also did not start well with 2 draws in 2 games and both by 2 to 2.

Vardar are the Macedonian champions and have been a good surprise in these qualifications.

To mention that this team came from the Champions League tie in which they had already defeated Malmo by tying away from home and winning at home, then in the previous tie, almost caused another surprise when they won at home in Copenhagen, but lost in Denmark and ended up like this Eliminated.

Still they left very good image. In the first leg of this match they beat Fenerbahce 2-0 in a game where they fought hard and managed to suffer as a team.

They played with the last 10 minutes, but in a decent move for the catch, Vardar scored with a self-goal already in the discounts. The objective now is clear, move on to the next phase and access the Europa League. After 2-0 at home, this ambition is quite legitimate.

Fenerbahce will go all the way to the Vardar in this match and will undoubtedly present their strongest 11. It is expected a lot of offensive momentum of the Turks who are 2 goals behind and they need to turn this round in front of an opponent who did not have the respect.

Vardar is going to be a tough nut to crack, but they’re going to have a bad time in Turkey. I think Fenerbahce can score in the first half and go ahead for the break.

The result of 2-0 to this forces them and I see they manage to score and go in the fight for access to the group phase in interval time.

This is possibly the bet I have more confidence in the games of the Europa League. If they are not at least to the advantage at halftime, I doubt they will pass this tie.
