Georgia – Wales: Preview & Prediction

Selections of who you were expected to fight for qualification, but the fact is that it has been a complicated team to beat.

Georgia added 5 points in eight games and five draws. This selection does not have big stars in its squad and the majority of its players compete in the east soccer.

Georgia are already out of the World Cup qualifying campaign, but facing Wales and Serbia, may have a direct influence on the outcome of this group.

They are as I mentioned a team without big stars, without a very showy football, but they know how to defend themselves and they reveal some defensive organization in their back sector. They come from 3 consecutive draws, the last one conquered away from home in Austria.

Wales are a selection that has grown a lot, have strong players but the collective has grown a lot and no doubt that the experience in Euro 2016 has strengthened this group

and today the Country and Wales is already a team that fights for the qualifications for Euro and Mundial that did not happen previously. They have in Gareth Bale and Ramsey the great references of the team, but players like Williams, Allen or Kanu have been important.

Wales are in 2nd place and only the victory matters to pressure Serbia in the trip to Austria.

Wales come from two straight victories, 1-0 at home to the Austrians and 2-0 in Moldova at a meeting in which it was late to appear the winning goal.

Young talented Woodburn were in the spotlight in those two games scoring the winning goal against Austria and watching Kanu for the first goal in Moldova.

Prediction Georgia vs Wales:

Wales will have a difficult game away from home against Georgia that has drawn it 5 times in this group. The Welsh know that only victory matters otherwise they can even compromise the 2nd place in the group.

They play first, at 17h and they have to win to not depend on 3º. This selection has been well, the front line has many good options and I believe they pass in Georgia.

As they have had in Moldova, they expect good support from the Welsh supporters who traveled to Georgia, who are nowhere near as yet known to have friendly environments. Wales to win is a good bet.
