Juventus – Empoli : Preview & Prediction
Juventus are no longer Italian champions. It had been a long time since this sentence could be uttered. Juve had a very bad season last year and only finished 4th in Serie A. The Old Lady almost didn’t even qualify for the Champions League. The first game this year, with Ronaldo on the bench, gave us hope for a solid Juve’s return, before they ruined a two-goal lead and came back with just one point from Udinese.
Empoli is back in the first division after just two short seasons in Serie B. The club were crowned D2 champions last year, and have had a very good season. This year, the main focus will of course be on maintenance, but the exercise started off with difficulty with a first defeat at the reception of Lazio from Rome.

Empoli won their first game 4-2 against Vicenza in the Italian Cup first round, before losing to Lazio in Serie A last weekend (1-3).
Juventus already have little choice and cannot afford to drop any points at home against a promoted. We will have to take the 3 points and with the manner. Victory for Juventus and over 1.5!
