Frédéric Antonetti’s men have stopped the bleeding from the six-game losing streak in seven games. With three consecutive draws and a 1-0 victory at OGC Nice last weekend, Metz are getting better and better in the league. With two clean sheets made during this period, including another against Olympique de Marseille, the Messins are regaining confidence in the race to maintain. The next step would be to start a winning streak in order to leave the relegation zone. Watch out for Metz, which must not fall back into its pitfalls by conceding more than two goals per game as during the September-October period.
A reaction is expected from the Montpellier side! While the Paillade club was on two consecutive victories, Savanier’s teammates have just lost twice against Rennes and Lyon, quite logically. Olivier Dall’Oglio will have to find the right speech or the right formula because his group has won only once away this season and a new defeat could bring them closer to eighteenth place. Montpellier will also have to be better in front of goal because four goals in six games is clearly insufficient for a team with so much attacking potential.
