This week, four of the eight eighth-round final events of the Italian Coppa Italia will take place. The start is made on Tuesday, with his home game against Spezia, one of the simplest tasks in this round. Anything but a journey after ninety minutes would be a fist-sized surprise.
In the Serie A, Naples finished third. The victory at home against Sampdoria Genoa, which was deserved but still very happy, was necessary. Napoli fell behind by an own goal in half an hour, but then, after an hour or so from the yellow-red card for the opponent. After Gabbiadini were able to make a 1-1 draw five minutes after his substitution, Tonelli, who in the fifth minute of stoppage time (!), Still marked the 2-1 win over Napoli. With this threesome, Naples bolstered their series of undefeated competitive games to now eleven high – six wins, five draws. The last defeat was at the end of October with Juventus, which also currently leads the table. Naples are seven points behind, but the old lady still has a catch-up in the backhand. At least in a statistic, Naples is leading: with 42 goals scored, the Southern Italians set the best attack of the Serie A. In the last four Serie A games, Naples scored eighteen goals. There are also some against Spezia. Naples are also the favorite and can also go home, where the team in Serie A has a strong 7-2-1 record.
The last game in the Serie B on 28.12.2016 ended with a 0-0 defeat for Spezia. That was the fifth time for Spezia in the 21. Ligaspiel this season. Three of the last matches in the Serie B with the participation of Spezia ended without a goal, last two in a row. So it is no coincidence that the team is one of the weakest offensives, with just seventeen goals after twenty-one games. Inevitably, however, Spezia is also one of the best defensives and has conceded an average of only 0.77 contenders per league game on average with sixteen contenders. With a 6-10-5 score, Spezia is currently 10th out of twenty-two. On the relegation grounds the team has six points ahead, only one point behind the ascent relegation places. With this very strong goal ratio, it is almost a miracle that Spezia has advanced to the round of the Coppa Italia. Especially the 3: 2 victory at Udinese Calcio, which is known in the Serie A plays, was afterwards sensational. It was also the only one of a total of 24 compulsory games this season, when Spezia scored three goals. In the sixteenth round, Spezia then made it through to a Serie A club. In Palermo, it was 120 minutes – well-nigh – 0-0 before Spezia scored the penalty in the penalty shoot-out.
