Sangju Sangmu – Gangwon : Preview & Prediction
Sangju Sangmu and Gangwon have a meeting scheduled for Saturday, at 12:00 local time, at Sangju Civic Stadium, in a game counting for the second round of K-League 1. The military formation was beaten in the first round by Ulsan Hyundai (4 -0), while Gangwon beat FC Seoul 3-1. This duel has the particularity of putting two emblems face-to-face that on the 1st round only featured local athletes – Sangju Sangmu is made up of South Koreans who belong to other clubs and who are performing mandatory military service, while Gangwon have only one foreigner in their squad, the Japanese Takahiro Nakazato, who, however, was not called to FC FC Seoul. After having managed to enter the title play-off last season – the top six classified in the regular phase qualify for this stage of the race – Gangwon starts with even more ambition and will try to reach the podium. The first game, against a FC Seoul with more tradition and theoretically superior, proved that the Gangwon could indeed be the sensation of this edition of K-League 1. Sangju Sangmu approaches this campaign knowing that he will necessarily go down to the K-League 2, in view of the end of the protocol with the armed forces and the consequent change of city.
