Levante, the bottom side in La Liga, need to beat 12th-placed Espanyol to get back in the race for survival. After taking seven points from nine, the bottom side failed to win 3-1 at Athletic Bilbao in the Basque Country. Levante striker Roger Marti (4 goals in La Liga) scored a goal in his team’s 1-1 draw at Celta Vigo on 21 February. Marti has scored 13, 11 and 12 goals in the last three seasons, but the Levante striker could improve his tally in the last 11 games and when Espanyol come to town. The Catalan club, after a long run of eight games without a win, returned to winning ways last weekend against Getafe (2-0). Espanyol’s striker Raul de Tomas, who has not scored in the last three La Liga games, could end his three-game drought. The striker had scored in the previous three games at Cadiz (2-2), against Betis Sevilla (1-4) and in the derby against Barcelona (2-2). With 13 goals in 25 games, the Spanish international could be close to his total of 23 goals in La Liga at the end of the season for the 2020-2021 season.
