Cameroon – Egypt : Preview & Prediction
Cameroon, five-time winner of the African Cup of Nations (1984, 1988, 2000, 2002, 2017), is only 90 or 120 minutes away from its 8th final in its history in this competition! Logical favorite because host country, Cameroon finds Egypt this Thursday evening in Yaoundé, and will try to take its revenge after two defeats in the final of the CAN 1986 (1-0 after shots on goal) and the CAN 2008 (4- 2) facing the Pharaohs. It was the Lyonnais Karl Toko Ekambi, author of a double last Saturday, which allowed Cameroon to easily get out of Gambia (2-0) in the 1/4 final. This is the first time that the Indomitable Lions have kept a clean sheet in this competition, after previous meetings against Burkina Faso (2-1), against Ethiopia (4-1), ahead of Cape Verde (1 -1) and against Comoros (2-1). Cameroon places two of its players among the first two places in the scoring charts, they are Vincent Aboubakar (6 goals) and Karl Toko Ekambi (5 goals).
