Liverpool are having a superb season, and that’s an understatement. Yet in the death group with Atlético, Porto and Milan, the Reds were far superior, and didn’t do things by halves. In the league, they are second with a small point behind the leader, Man City. They cannot afford a misstep against a club playing in the middle of the table.
