The 33rd round of Premier League matches kicks off with Tottenham, fourth in the Premier League, hosting Brighton, 11th in the table. After winning 2-1 at the Emirates Stadium last weekend, the Seagulls travel to London once again to take on rivals Arsenal and hopefully notch up a second consecutive win, something that has not happened in the league since September. This victory surprised many observers because the group coached by Graham Potter was on a seven-game winless streak, including six consecutive defeats! The three points did a lot of good for a club with a crazy schedule: three consecutive trips to Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester City. To leave the London capital with at least a point would be considered a positive result for Neal Maupay’s teammates.
Let’s deal with Spurs now. While the Gunners seemed to have the edge to finish number four at the end of the season, Antonio Conte’s men have regained the upper hand by winning six of their last seven games for twenty-five goals scored and four conceded. The Son-Kane duo is once again working wonders and will be looking to break down the blue and white’s defence to come out of this game with maximum points. Since 2017, Hugo Lloris and his teammates have not lost a game to his opponent of the day and will be looking to continue this streak to put pressure on his rival who travels to Southampton.
