Zimbabwe – Guinea : Preview & Prediction
Guinea is one of the great teams at the start of CAN 2022. For its entry into the running, Kaba Diawara’s team got off to a perfect start against Malawi (1-0). We were eager to see this selection against a much stronger opponent, with Senegal. And against one of the great favorites of the competition, Naby Keïta’s teammates made a strong impression. They seriously pushed the Lions of Teranga and took an excellent point (0-0). Currently in second place in this group, tied with Senegal, Guinea expect to consolidate their position on their last day. Depending on the result of the other meeting, the Guinean players could even get first place in this group. They will therefore do everything to get away with three new points against Zimbabwe.
And it’s a game clearly within Guinea’s reach! Zimbabwe has been in great difficulty since the start of this CAN. Norman Mapeza’s men still do not have a single point in this competition. After a narrow defeat against Senegal (1-0), they were overthrown by Malawi on the second day (2-1). They are therefore in last place in this group B before the last meeting of this group stage. Zimbabwe is also already eliminated from the competition, since it can no longer overtake Malawi, with the particular goal average. Everything seems perfect for Guinea. By remaining at the level shown during the first two meetings of this CAN, the Guinean selection will have enough to offer itself a new success and approach the final phase as well as possible.
